I can honestly say that there can't be any greater pain on this earth, than the pain of losing a child, especially a child like Natalia. A poet named Rumi once said, "The wound is a place where the light enters you. " In our lives, when we are faced with these wounds, the vulnerabilities, whether they may be a loss of someone, an extreme low point in our lives, ones that bring us to our knees,....They force us to choose. They force us to choose to ACCEPT the light, to HOLD it hidden inside, OR to ALLOW it to reflect outward. The call to share that light and let it reflect outward is like a voice inside, one that, if YOU allow it to,... inspires you. And, as you truly absorb that light and inspiration, you tend to exude that same light, and therefore, elevate those around you,... kind of like a ripple effect... a light, lighting up another, and another, and another.... It's almost as if, in some small way, there is an invisible oath that is taken at that point, saying, " I will be a torchbearer, a carrier of that torch." We witness our reflections by the effects that we have on others , and it inspires us ALL THE MORE to continue to spread even more "light", much like a lighthouse... a lighthouse that with passing on and on of that light, can eventually light up the world.
Natalia is that lighthouse and lives on through me. She has taught me to see my inner self and to dig deep into my soul to find my purpose here on earth. She has given me the strength and the focus through her light, for me to reflect that light onto YOU... I have chosen to continue to reflect that light and follow in her path striving to "BE MORE... to LOVE more and to GIVE more... in her honor.
Today, more than ever, the world is in desperate need of more of that light. Choose to be a lighthouse... because, in your light, OTHERS WILL BE ILLUMINATED TOO...
Always and forever,
